Today I bring you a mix from my good friend Solrok, he holds a residency at Karma in Brownsville TX along with Klepto and Aldo. Together they have created one of the craziest nights that Brownsville has ever seen and believe it or not, on a wednesday! They have been playing to a constant 400-600 people every wed. for a little over a year now. Solrok has helped bring in the sound of the underground to Brownsville that wasn’t really heard of before to the mainstream audience. His style ranges from minimal techno to tech-house and this mix is no different. It has a wide spectrum of sounds, colors and grooves so check it out!

Recently came across this great mix from Jupiter Heroes and I can’t stop hearin it haha! I love Disco, due to the fact that my father was a disco junkie in the 70’s and bought almost every great disco track there ever was. Other than Jazz, Disco was a very influential sound in my life. If funky basslines and vintage synths are your thing, you definitely need to check this out. I’ve also included a link to one of my favorite tracks from the mix by Reverso 68.

Next up is a duo who’ve just found themselves literally on top of the pile in the electro world - Number 1 on the Beatport Chart with their latest EP. Far from being a surprise; the success was pretty much a given - everything that these two put is solid and playable by pretty much any DJ. It wasn’t their first chart-topper either; ‘Head Trick’ was among the top 8 most downloaded tracks on Beatport during 2008, and remains one of the safest bets in my CD wallet. Synonymous with Chicago label Potty Mouth, these are heading down under for a much anticipated series of dates in Australia, and are following that up with a trip over to Europe in Autumn. Malente is one of the most recognisable artists to emerge from Germany in the past few years; a man who is currently sitting atop the German Club Charts for an unprecedented fifth week with a huge release on Southern Fried Records - ‘Music Forever’. Far from just being popular in his homeland though, Christophe has tours of some of the worlds biggest countries under his belt, and is heading over to America and to England in the next few months. He actually will be here in the valley at Club Element on Aug 14th! His mix is a 71 track tour de force - taking in indie, disco, classic house and a sprinkling of the obscure along its way. There is guaranteed to be a few tracks in here that make you smile, and more than likely a chance to bring back memories of summers gone by.

Today I bring you a very exclusive mix from my good friend, Frederik Mooij. I had previously posted up a mix of his but if you haven’t heard of him it’s not long before you do. He most recently won a remix contest for Lee Mortimer which will be coming out very soon on WearHouse Music. He currently lives in Monterrey MX and is running his own label LoudRoom Recordings. He will be featuring some heavyhitters on his label soon, such as Kelevra and Will Bailey.
